What type of Baptist Church is Christ Community?
Christ Community Baptist Church is confessionally Baptist and so we believe and practice believers’ baptism by immersion. We stand in line with the historic, orthodox line of Baptists of England who through great difficulties held high the Gospel of Jesus Christ and faithfully preached the Word of God. While autonomous, we are a member church of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions and the Shelby County Baptist Association.

How can I become a member of Christ Community?
Membership at Christ Community is a serious commitment and all members will be held accountable to serve Christ and His church through faithfulness in regularly setting under the preaching and teaching of the Word, regularly participating in communion, praying, exercising his or her spiritual gifts, fellowshipping with fellow brethren, proclaiming the Gospel to the lost and giving financially to the work of ministry in the church. Also, anyone seeking to join Christ Community must give viable testimony to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The membership process begins with requesting a membership application from anyone in leadership. After reading the requirements for membership given in the membership covenant, the bylaws, and the articles of faith, each candidate will meet with the Pastor to give testimony to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as well as to give evidence of a godly lifestyle.
